While many will be recovering from St. Patrick’s Day festivities, thousands will be covering just over 13.1. The NYC Half-Marathon takes place today, Sunday, March 18, 2012, starting at 7:30am.

The pack turning out for this event includes Olympic hopefuls like Meb Keflezighi and Kara Goucher, as well as some celebrities and the average Joe or Jane, many running for charity. Seventy-seven charities will be represented at this year’s race, including ASPCA.
